PURPOSE
OF THIS SITE |

There are several reasons I am
creating this website. The first and most important is to try to reach lost
souls. It is no accident that the first article on this site is one that gives
the plan of salvation. While I do believe that what church people go to, what
Bible they use, how they live their lives, etc. are important issues, none of
that matters if they don’t know Christ as Saviour. If I could convince
someone of only one thing, I would want that one thing to be the truth of
salvation. Everything else comes as a distant second. As for the other issues, they are
covered in order to help those who know Christ draw closer to Him. I have had
some tell me that I should use this site only to help people come to a saving
knowledge of Christ and then leave them to make all other decisions on their
own. I do not believe that to be right, however. We learn from Matthew 28:20
that we are to teach them to observe all things. Our primary responsibility
is that of evangelism but, we also have a secondary responsibility of
discipleship. The issue of Bible versions will
be discussed on this site. Contrary to what we are often told, they don’t all
say the same thing. The differences between the versions will be discussed
and evidence from the Bible itself will be given to prove that we do
have the perfect Word of God. If they don’t all say the same thing and one is
superior to all others, I believe it is of the utmost importance that we know
which Bible we can trust in order to be the most for Christ that we can
possibly be. There is also a page on this site
that discusses various religions. Some of the religions are called
“Christian,” while in reality, they are anything but. There have been those
who say, that’s not something you should take on, after all, we have all
these denominations because of men. It’s true that the various denominations
came about because of men. The reason for this is that over time some men
have departed from the faith (I Timothy 4:1). If I truly care about souls and
I see a religion – even one that calls itself Christian – that is teaching
lies that are leading people down the path to destruction, I must speak up.
God forbid that I have blood on my hands because I didn’t speak up when I
needed to. There is a section of this site
that deals with music. Much of what is called “Christian music” today is
nothing but worldliness and filth. Music is a very powerful medium. It is
vital that we guard ourselves against the evil influence of the world’s music
– even when it claims to be Christian. It is very important for parents to
know what their children are listening to. Parents must also guard their
children against the evils of the world’s music, for they are particularly
susceptible. This site will also discuss modern
“social issues.” We should know what the Bible says about what’s right and
what’s wrong concerning the issues of the day. Anyone can say, “I think
that’s wrong,” but can you tell someone why it’s wrong. If not, how do you
yourself even know if it’s right or wrong. The debate over creation and
evolution will also be covered. What you believe about Genesis 1 will dictate
what you believe about the rest of the Bible. If you take Genesis chapter 1
at face value, you will also take the rest of the Bible at face value. If you
look at Genesis 1 in a symbolic way, more than likely, you will take that
view about the rest of the Bible. There will also be a section that
deals with our every day walk with God. If we want to be what we should truly
be for God, we must know what His Word says about how we should live. We must
know the “thou shalts” and the “thou shalt nots” of the Christian life. If we
don’t study His Word, we will never be able to please Him. There is also a section on the
site devoted to children. I have enjoyed working with children since I was
about 15 or 16. I have seen from personal experience how receptive children
are to the Gospel. I believe it would be absolutely foolish not to devote attention
to children since people are much more likely to saved as children than they
are as adults. Not enough people seem to want to dedicate any of their time
to reaching children. I think that is one place we fall very short. Hopefully, this site will be of
help to you. I pray that the things that are on this site will help you to
grow closer to God. I hope it will help you to become more of what God wants
you to be. Most importantly, if you don’t know Christ as your personal Saviour,
