DOCTRINAL
STATEMENT |
|
1. The Bible |
|
The
Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. (II Timothy 2:15, II
Peter 1:21) God has promised that He would preserve
His Word. (Psalm 12:7, Psalm 119:89) The King James Bible is God’s perfect
Word for the English speaking world. |
|
2. God |
|
God is a Trinity – three Persons – the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – yet one. (Genesis 1:26, I John 5:7) |
|
3. Jesus Christ |
|
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (John
1:34, John 3:16) Jesus Christ is God incarnate. (John
1:1, John 1:14) Jesus Christ was born of a virgin.
(Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:27) Jesus Christ died a substitutionary
death for us. (Isaiah 53::5, I Peter 2:24) Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose
again after three days. (I Corinthians 15:1-4) |
|
4. The Holy Spirit |
|
The Holy Spirit indwells the believer at
the moment of salvation. (I Corinthians 3:16) The Holy Spirit guides those who trust
in Christ. (John 16:13) The Holy Spirit intercedes for the
believers. (Romans 8:26) |
|
5. Sin |
|
All men are sinners. (Romans 3:10,
Romans 3:23) Sin requires death. (Romans 5:12, Romans
6:23) Sin can only be forgiven by the shedding
of blood. (Hebrews 9:22) |
|
6. Salvation |
|
Salvation is only by grace, through
faith. (Ephesians 2:8) Salvation cannot be earned. (Ephesians
2:9) Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ.
(John 14:6, Romans 10:9, Romans 10:13) |
|
7. Eternity |
|
There is a literal heaven and a literal
hell. (Luke 16:22-23) Those who reject Christ and die in their
sin will spend eternity in the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:15, Revelation 21:8) Those who accept Christ will spend
eternity in heaven. (John 14:3, Revelation 21:7) |
|
8. The Great Commission |
|
The great commission is the task that
Christ has given the church to carry out. (Matthew 28: 19-20, Mark 16:15, Luke 24:46-48, John
20:21, Acts 1:8) |
|
9. Tongues |
|
The
gift of tongues does not continue today. It was promised only to the apostles
and those converted under their ministries.
(Mark 16:16-18) |
|
10. Last Things |
|
There
will be a pre-tribulational rapture. (I Corinthians 15:52, I Thessalonians
4:13-18) The Lord’s second coming will be pre-millennial.
(Revelation 20:1-4) |
