What Is This Page About? |

The Church is in a sad condition today. Many, if not most, Christians either could not tell you what they believe or could not tell you why they believe what they believe. Their faith has no more basis than to say “That’s what mom and dad said,” or, “That’s what my preacher said.” If they were challenged about their faith, they would be absolutely defenseless. If the above paragraph rings true for you, this section of the website is for you. First Peter 3:15 is found on the “Pillars of the Faith” page. It says, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.” We should be able to tell someone why we believe what we believe. We have a responsibility to tell the lost the Gospel, and the exhort one another. If you don’t know why you believe what you believe, you cannot do either. Also, if you want to be
approved unto God, you must study his word. Second Timothy 2:15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Another
reason you should know why you believe what you believe is because God
commands us to study His Word and “rightly divide” the Word of Truth. I pray that this will be an aid to you in your Christian growth, and that it will encourage you to study your Bible and grow closer to God. |
